  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • Orange peel (optional)
  • 1 small piece of ginger (optional)

👨🍳 STEP-BY-STEP PREPARATION:

Step 1: Chop the panela

Chop the panela into small pieces so that it melts faster.

Step 2: Boil with spices

Place the chopped panela with the water and spices in a pot. Cook over medium heat.

Step 3: Dissolve completely

Stir constantly until the panela is completely melted.

Step 4: Reduce

Reduce the heat and cook for 10-12 minutes until it thickens and takes on a honey-like consistency.

Step 5: Strain

Strain to remove the spices and orange peel.

Step 6: Cool

Let it cool. The honey will thicken as it cools. It will be shiny, sweet, and perfect for everything!
